Problem Description
Project Summary
ZETDC has not provided electricity to all the households in Arlington estate. This warrants the need for a reliable source of electricity with low or no maintenance cost, environmentally friendly and convenient. The solution provided for this particular homestead is a 5,6KVA solar system consisting of a 14,4KWH battery bank and 4,65KW peak solar panels. This system provides electricity for entertainment, lighting, WI-FI, security systems, borehole pumps, refrigeration, ironing etc.
Problem Description
- The newly developed phase 5 of Arlington Estate has no electricity yet but the family needs electrical power for entertainment, lighting, internet services etc.
- The homestead has no utility water thus the need to have a borehole system which requires electrical power for proper water reticulation.
- Due to unavailability of electricity it is also difficult to keep certain foods cool or frozen hence the need for a reliable source of electricity for refrigeration.

Ø This is the main electrical supply system for all the essential needs of a 4 bedroom house in a low density area.

Ø This system also provides electricity both during daytime and night time but can also run for 24 hours depending on the load.
